Air/fuel gauge
just got an air/fuel gauge for my 02 rodeo but it saids GREEN wire from gauge to oxygen sensor or vehicle wiring harness.I looked under the car and the O2 has like 4 wires coming out of the senor so with wire do i hook it up to or find with is the wire color from the harness???????????????????????????????????:confuse d:

You need to get a single wire O2 sensor and make a new bung on your exhaust to run the air fuel, so I was told be my mechanic as that is the last gauge that I need hooked up.
-
Not - refer to workshop manual cd for correct wire to tap into. Several members already have guages using stock sensors - maybe they will chime in with wire color.

Ok someone who has the Air/Fuel working off the stock O2 please let us know!
Thanks!

Heres what the 4 wires are:
2 are for the preheater.
1 is ground.
1 is signal, and will give a reading of about .95V.
I have no idea what the colors are, but with a DVM it should be easy to figure out.
That being said, I see no reason to have an O2 meter unless you are going to tune with it, and then I'd want a wideband O2 sensor.

anyone know whats the wire color of the output of the O2 from the computer, and one have a workshop manual or book????And whats a DVM?
-
black is heater ground, red/white is heater power. Positive signal is green and negative signal (not ground!!!) is blue. PCM uses differential op amp to measure the voltage.
Better choice would be to add a new single wire O2 sensor upstream of the cat and leave factory O2 wiring alone.

Just got the Cyberdine gauge and it only has 3 wires: 2 for power and a third for signal. Should I just connect the gauge signal wire to the Green (+ power signal) wire? what about the blue (- power signal)?
Did search but this in the only helpful post - Thanks!
