Not really VX related, but I was talking with a guy I work with who is a huge Beetle fan/owner/fanatic and we got to talking about upgrades for our vehicles. I was spewing on about the blower and pully kit available for the VX and he kinda chuckled. Said he could dominate that. Upon proving it, he pointed me to a Beetle/VW site that offers performance kits. Let's just say, I shut up QUICK.

As a old time VW fan that is not surprising at all. Back in the late 80's there was a a full body'd bug that was running under 9 seconds in the 1/4 with the 4 cylinder air cooled bug motor...it was twin turboed. He held the world record at the time...I'm sure it has been surpassed by now. Just stop by one of the bug-ins that have drag races.;Dy;
