Cooling System Hoses

My 99 VX still has the original cooling system hoses. Even though they seem OK, I figured some new ones are long overdue. I went down to my local auto parts store and ordered a new set of Gates hoses. So I ended up with upper & lower radiator hoses, 2 heater hoses and 1 bypass hose. I can't figure out where in the world the bypass hose goes. The workshop manual doesn't mention it. Any ideas? Does it actually have one?

According to a 2013 thread, it's under the plenum....which is probably under/behind the throttle body.
