217000+ miles no major machanical typical service ,tires, oil breaks no crashes. People still ask if it a new crossover, the new jeep :-) funny stuff!! I even had a ohio state trooper pull me over just to go.away with nothing but compliments from the officer..:-) I love my Vx . Completely factory excluding 3inch cold air dual cone intake and true dual exhaust, rolling on interco thornbird 12x30 role my VX down the roads just fine.
Hey man. I'm right behind you at 14 years original owner and nearly 150,000 miles. I drive a company car so little mileage over the years. Absolutely no modifications on my part. I got a new engine under warranty back in 2009 at 111,000 miles. Like a new heart for an old man. My tranny slips a little for several years now, but letting it go until it craps out. Do have a tranny leak that after tranny service would not fix. I still love it. Oh, my rear license plate lights are crapping out. Sooner or later I'll need electrical service on them.
There was a thread on re-building the OEM ones a few years ago. I used a much simpler approach. I added an adhesive strip of LED lights to mine & wired them into the plate lights. Works like a charm (almost too bright).Quote:
