Urgent TOD question ***

So, I am in the middle of installing a GPS system and a couple other things in my vx and I have the passenger seat out. I have been driving my vx since I got it 6 weeks ago without the front prop shaft installed. The part is on back order in Japan and I don't expect to get the new shaft until late December. Since the TOD is completely useless in the interim, I'd like to disable it until I get the part. My question is, how can I do it? Can I just completely unplug the computer under the passenger seat!? Or is there some special way I have to do it? I'd love to get this done tonight while I have it torn apart if possible, so any quick help is appreciated. Thanks!

Yup....

Simply unplug both of the connectors.

Because I have front Aussie Lockers, I have driven mine like this for many years.
I only use the true 4x4..never the TOD.

Its perfectly safe..no ill effects.
