Just read an article on rebuildable shocks in the Jan.04 issue of 4Wheel Drive & sport Utility magazine. They rebuilt an OME LTR shock. It looks fairly easy. Does any one know if our shocks are rebuildable? Would be a lot cheaper than buying new ones when they fail!:bwgy: :bomb: :flame2:
Good question. I have rebuilt (well, taken apart and tried to put back together) many mountain bike shox in the past. Not sure I would even try with this, though... a little beyond me.
Maybe you should contact KYB and see if there is some way they or a company with the right parts could do this. Worth finding out. Id like mine rebuilt in the future rather than swapping any day.
