Quick question on Timing belt?

Hey guys, I have a quick Q on the timing belt. I just finished installing my belt. She turns on and runs fine. But if I missed something, what would be the problems that can happened? Like if it's off by a tooth or something else, will the engine start at all? Will you get a code right away? will it sound really bad like a knocking sound or something? Just like to get a peace of mind that all is good and I won't find or get a problem a few miles down the road. Thank guys.

P.S. I search and couldn't find answers for bad timing belts out comes.

It should start but run rough, your valves wouldn't be in sync with your piston cycles. Maybe misfire. I would think if it sounds fine right now, your good to go.
