This is exactly why I'm kinda weary of paying too much for the VX. Dont think the insurance companies care about the rarity of these vehicles.
You have to get an appraisal and submit it to your insurance company BEFORE something BAD happens. Make sure the insurance company accepts the appraisal value and will insure the vehicle at that value. I already have done this with one of my Celica All-Tracs and have yet to do it with my 2001 VX with 53K on the clock. On my to do list.
