JDM Momo steering wheel for sale! Red letters.

It just popped up on the auction block.

I think it's WAY overpriced TBO. buuuut if anyone want's me to get it for them let me know.
It has a Buy it now at 430$ and after import,Shipping,and Rinkya fees it will cost you all togeather around 550$ to 600$.
Soooo I won't charge any extra on my end. I'll do it for free.

The reverse view of this wheel looks empty inside though?

I think the airbag is there without the explosive charge to prevent an accidental deployment.

So do you just throw a bag of black powder in there during the install? ;) Or is the charge included with the sale but packaged separately for safety? I had a guy at a yard in Australia tell me he couldn't ship the steering wheel precisely because of the risk of a charge deployment - he said they were considered explosives for the purposes of some trade regulations.

You, and he, are correct. Airbags can't legally be transported by air. Shipping UPS ground is okay, though. I purchased some seats w/undeployed airbags shipped, and the salvage yard had to jump through some hops to get them to me.

But, people still ship by air anyway *lol*

Are the only differences between the two steering wheels just that the JDM are all black & the US is 2 tone?

Is the JDM 3 spoke & the US 4 spoke?

I'm asking because the steering wheel in my 99 Amigo looks perzakly like the VX except it's all black.

Driving the Proton today. I'll try to snap a pic of each when I get home.

IIRC it does NOT look like the MOMO shown above. It looks like the VX except it's all black.

I didn't get a chance to take any pix but the Amigo Steering Wheel is identical to the VX except it's all black.

Tom, does it look like the steering wheel on the left? I grabbed that one from a Rodeo to replace my worn out red/black steering wheel.
