I know this is short notice, about 4 minutes. ROcket launch out of wallops, VA, should be visible all down the eastern seaboard and quite a ways inland. I am 100 miles away, clear skies, gonna be awesome!

Sorry short notice. It was awesome! I can't believe how fast it was. The shuttle was really slow. We had a great view right out of our front yard.
Try as I did, simply could not see it from my house. The horizon view had just enough trees I guess to shutter the visible angle.
I didn't try last night since we failed so miserably on the previous launch.
Had the opportunity to see the early morning STS-102 launch years ago. The type of thing everyone should try to witness at least once at some point in their life.

Agreed. I lived in Sattelite Beach when I was a kid & got to watch some of the Apollo lift off's. Really impressive.Quote:
