Sweet turbo 4 with 6 speed manual will get it down the road and through the corners....

im not feelin it. my dad just got one...doesnt look like a sports car to me, more like a civic knock-off.

for $30k id find a decent used vette, nsx or supra...those are real sports cars imo.

we have Vettes and muscle type cars aplenty (I work at a car museum/Hot Rod shop)
This thing is a "wagon" (think Mazdaspeed 3) and I love wagons.... Definitely NOT a "Civic" yup, it's FWD but again....I own several RWDs and 1 AWD. The wife's Hyundai is FWD.....They all have their place, and this 2.0L is putting out over 250hp with copious torque everywhere...snorty center exhaust......It's a really fun FWD.
@26mpg.....it's no economy car. But it is an economy Hot Rod.
I just wish you could get the Recaros without the stinkin' "My Touch" voice command bull*****e. I don't make calls or seriously listen to music in a car, so it's worse than useless....ANNOYING and useless:bwgy:

I have always wanted one of the cosworth fords (escort cs) that never got imported here! The ST is probably as close as we will get.

or you could wait a year and get one for less than half that price
