After 20 back and forth conferences with this scatter brained chick, I scored a Thule 696 just 16 miles from home. Spending my day off installing it as well as exploring how to incorporate a rack from Thule to clamp down my snowboard. Yay!

I have the two top rubber strips already cut to fit the 696 installation...any chance we could swap your intact strips for these?Quote:

What strips are you referring to?
She means the weatherstripping on the top of the factory cross bars. The recommended installation for the 696 involves cutting that strip to slide T-bolts into the channel.
The black rubber strip running the length of each bar, about 1" wide.
