I just found a 2001 VX bought in May of 2002 with <113k miles. With the 10 yr 120k warranty, would that car still be covered? I called the dealer and they said it's only covered if it was the original owner.

That info is correct. A second owner's warranty drops to 60,000 miles on the powertrain, so I'm pretty certain there aren't any VXes out there still covered by the 10 year/120,000 mile deal.
