Hi guys and gals. I just bought me a VX and looking for the crossbars to put a rack on. could anyone lead me n the right direction?
I've tracked down many and then cleaned and restored them. Here's a thread on it FYI. They're getting harder to find, I guess simply thru attrition on a limited production vehicle, and not all had them to begin with (except Ironman's). Let me know if you want me to try to find you one.

and you can always modify a universal aftermarket set to fit if you can't get the stock ones :)
RamAir, do know of a good web site to find a universal one? I can do the cutting & etc. I just dont know about the clamps.

This recent CL ad shows another non-OEM roof rack. Might give you some ideas. It came with the VX, the seller didn't make it so he didn't know the details about it.

The main problem with aftermarket crossbars is that they (IMHO) don't look right.

That looks like one of the rain gutter style ones. I looked into those but they sat too high IMO

That looks way weird to me, the height of the towers is one issue, but then the overall look with a basket is even worse....IMHO....obviously there's various ideas of what looks "good".
