throttle body queston
I had a antifreeze leak and my mechanic told me the part where the antifreeze goes through the throttle body rusted out so he welded a tube outside the throttle body rather than replace the whole thing. he didnt charge me since i have been having so many issues with overheating. my question is can this hurt anything since the fluid is going outside the TB. does the TB need to be cooled or is the TB just a way to divert antifreeze?
do you think i need a new TB. there is no more leak now

just used to heat up the TB during the winter so it heats up quicker, will run a little rich longer during the winter

Will This cause any problems in the future?

Not likely. The guys with LS1's bypass theirs all the time to get a cooler fuel charge. Shouldn't cause any problems.
