But if you are already changing the belt and tensioner there is a kit to repace other interconnected parts. I found a good deal on ebay and the parts come with the belt and arent junk. Ounce of prevention you know.Quote:

the timing belt and water pump and the rest are good things to do when you do the serpentine belt. That is why the tensioner comes with the kit. I did all of mine together as I have seen the tendency that everything wears together. When you start replacing one piece at a time they do not run true new and worn together. as a matter of fact this kit

comes with both belts like mine did. But since OP wanted gatorback I posted a kit minus serpentine (accesory belt) prevously

I hadnt done anything and was at 65,000. I had a timing belt go out on an Isuzu I-mark and paid big bucks for a new valva job etc. I did not want to have the same thing happen to the VX so I looked at a timing belt change here. Saw comments about serpentine belt water pump etc. When I saw the kit decided to do it all.Quote:
