France Cave Trip
-
That's awesome! Looks like ALOT of fun man
-
That is CRAZY!! Love it.
I usually duck my head when I head into a parking garage (sort of like body english in bowling), so I would probably be crouched down the whole time.
Any more pics?

Someday I wanna be a member of the "Offroad Underground"...:yesgray:
Though shipping Suzy the Floozy all the way to France might prove cost prohibitive...:confusedw
Looks like a great adventure...

Cool trip! That is one original club name:laughy:

Shouldn't the passenger get out and take the pic, it's dangerous for the driver to be out of the vehicle don't ya think

Spelunking and off-roading at the same time. How long is the cave and the driveable trails?
-
Wow!
Awesome!!!!! Never seen anything like that.
Peace.

That is so cool! Glad you guys have some cool places to meet up and wheel. Cheers!

Thanks Guys!
The caves extend to over 60 kilometers in all directions. In all there are about 3 kilometers that are driveable. But get a torch and start walking and you'll soon get lost!
Here's all my pics:

What great pictures. THANKS for sharing.

That must have been a great trip.
Thanks for sharing the fun of having a VX!

It was an awesome weekend. What Nick misses out is that he was one of the guys that put in the work to organise it...
It would be really good is I could see the video of my attempted climb out of the caves up the really rutted exit. I said I'd have 3 goes before I started and that's what I stuck to as there was a 300 mile drive home. I'm sure that I'd have made it on the 4th ;) Only a couple of quite highly modded trucks made it under their own steam so I'd say I made a pretty valiant attempt on behalf of us VX drivers!
Anyhow, here are some of my pics...

Mine lurking (that's it lurking behind the pillars in one of Alterastro's pics too - it was trying to get a sausage off the BBQ...)

The site had a very interesting history, having been used as a munitions store in the WW1. Judging by some of the carvings in the rock the guards were a bit bored...

There was a small memorial-like bit too. Check out that mortar-shell fencing...

I'll be stitching together my video snippets when I'm back home and will post the result on YouTube and here so you can get a bit more of an idea. Even above ground it was a pretty fun little site and I'd happily go back.
