It's supposed to.
Scan guage checks for pending codes as well as active codes. Some faults only throw a CEL if they've occured a certain number of times - that's what the pending codes represent.
Not sure about the JDM models location, but the NA version that we drive (L side steering wheel) has the OBD II port located under the dash, in front of the drivers L knee.Quote:
