Roof rail cover question

Never had my OEM roof rack on since I bought my VX, but have the original instructions and hex key.

I can't get the OEM covers off of the roof rail. Instruction say just to pull them off basically, but they won't budge. Tried to use a small flathead screwdriver, but ended up chipping the cover and it still didn't come loose.

Any help is appreciated.

Just went and looked at mine (have had the rack on for about six years could not remember how I took them off). It looks like they snap in on the far right and left side of each cover. Maybe two flat heads at the same time would work better.

Good luck, my covers were a PITA to remove and I ended up breaking some tabs because I was impatient
