We are designing the wheels for it now they are actually around the size of a tempa spare, But from what I understand this is a Strong possibility of the future of open wheel, the wheels on the car were originally covered but they removed the section above the front to keep it a open wheel racer,
how this thing would handle pot holes.
i dont understand why they would put the front 2 wheels so close together? it makes it unstable.

New autoweek covers this a bit. This is just one of the designs to help control costs. Each of the main manufacturers also intro'd a design. The one pictured here was partially paid for by Ganassi racing, uses a 300 bhp 4 cylinder and will way only about 1000 pounds including the driver so it should still be able to reach 235mph at Indy.
