dtc ABS warning light clarification?

Okay, so I read the 'how to' on checking the codes. I'm not sure what he means by 'a warning light will be displayed'?

In the TOC example video the check light flashes back and forth.

For the abs, when I've jumpered the dtc, the abs light starts flashing. Is this the warning light?

How many times do I count the warning light (if the abs light blinking is it)? It seems to flash quite a bit.

if you download the manual on this site there is all the info you need on the DTC codes. I just checked out my ABS.
all codes are 2 digits, they come up 3 times each.
the first is 12 , it will be a 1 flash then a short pause then 2 then a longer pause then repeat 3 times.
then the real codes will appear in the same manner.
