I had a Nissan Quality Guard extended warranty that I got when I bought my VX (at an Infiniti dealer) and had a pretty good experience with it. I made out well on it - mostly because of a funny whine that required rebuilding my differential to the tune of $2k.
You have to understand though that extended warranties are not like original warranties - they pay for replacement of defective parts. If a repair requires just cleaning or adjusting (i.e., labor only) they don't pay for it.
I dunno man. I got sold an aftermarket warranty with my VX. I went home, read the fine print, and cancelled it the next day.
That is the key, read ALL the fine print. The one I got sold was loaded with clauses to get the company out of paying. It was a total scam, imo.
Also, look the company up online for feedback.

I went through the telephone "bit" with them one time ( I was bored!!)...
...they gave me the "buy now" and save 40% routine.
Finally , when they asked for a credit card #...
....I asked for a wriiten notice of exact coverage and terms & conditions!
Guess what..none available..I laughed.......they got all pissed off.:p
