Winter tinkering

Been workin' on a few things this winter...

A new grille badge I made from a belt buckle, epoxy, & some aluminium stock I had in the inventory.:rolleyesg

And finally got around to installing the overhead console that I got from etlsport...Thanks Bro...I like it, but had forgot how much I hate wiring...especially overhead.
And let me tell ya, that upholstry adhesive was NOT fun to remove...finally used xylene.

Used the guts out of the stock dome light to retain the dimmer when the door is closed.

man now im a little sad i sold that console! it turned out really nice!

yea i remember trying to take that junk off, i tried all sorts of stuff and eventually just started sanding before deciding to look for a smaller unit.. looks good though, what did you do to make it flush on the roof? fiberglass? very nice paint job on it

Old carpenter trick...hold it in place, then scribe the contour of the ceiling onto the overhead with a sharpie, cut & sand, repeat until proper fit is achieved...or until you need a new overhead, whichever comes first.:smilewink

Wow that looks pretty smooth, what did that console come out of? Great job on the install, I can't wait to get a good look at this at Moab.

I like the grill badge. You need to get a second belt buckle that you can wear around as well so you match your VX.

Hey Dub good job on the grill I like. Overhead console looks awesome but cant put a sunroof in :(

A drill an' a couple of red LEDs will take care of that. The console looks awesome. Good stuff.
