Too bad, he gave a lot of responsibility to people that I probably wouldn't have even hired. A true artist, and a good people manager. I don't see how that shop will survive without him.
I don't see how that shop survived WITH him! That TV show was bad for business and his reputation. Will Foose attend the funeral? Hmm...
Saw this news yesterday as well. Still havent seen any word on cause of death. Hell, we wasnt exactly OLD. Maybe a prick, but 63 is small beans these days.
Heck with that, I would rather croak before 60. No worries about Social Security or 401k plans, worsening arthritis, broken hips... But I have always been more afraid of growing old than I ever was of dying.
Zues, your opinion might be different when you're 59................LOL
Sorry about the spelling Zeus......apparently I'm dyslexic!
I just don't have enough money to save for retirement and I'd just spend it all if I did. So to me... "it's better to burn out than to fade away"!
My dad is 63 though so that part freaks me out.
My dad died a three months after his 60th. He got mesothelioma, probably from the asbestos in brake pads. Being a motor-head can kill ya...thirty five years later.
It's not a pretty way to go. I know a lot of us like to turn a wrench, now and then... please... watch out for brake dust.
Thanks.
