My VX got pretty loud the past days and i was wondering why, and today i looked under it and thats what i saw there...

they use a lot of salt around our area.. probably taking its toll on your vx finally.. during the winter months i usually take the vx to a powerwasher every 2 weeks or less to spray down the undercarriage to remove salt
I have replaced this part as well. Around $100 for the part and labour here in Russia :) Don't replace the whole exhaust part (IIRC, it includes catalyst converter, so should be very expensive), find the place to replace this cracked thing only (the thing itself costs around $70 + labour).
