A few new things from me...

Hey folks,

Finally some new mod pics from me.

1st: 4 Hella Ralleye 4000s mounted up on a custom light bar attached to my roof rack. This project kicked my @$$.

Here is where I put the cables through, and then along the
headliner, and down into the dash and through the grommet and under
the hood. PAIN!

I also moved my alarm light to the center console...

...to make room for two switches, one of which I accidentally destroyed in
the process. Thanks Etl for coming through with a spare for me! I owe you

I also mounted my 4wheelair.com tank into my spare tire area along with
a MagLight. Somehow, it fits even with the cover on. NICE!

And last weekend I took the VX out for another ride on the playa.
95 mph across the flat, dry lake bed is something to experience!
I think I would like to organize a VX meet at the Black Rock Desert.

Nice, man. Those lights are BIG.

I have a camping trip this weekend and I really want to figure out how much extra lighting I'll want.

Now all you need are some clear side lenses ;)

Well, all I can say is that they put my head lights to shame. Last week I drove out of the mountains in the dark while it was snowing with no problem. The lights REALLY help in the blackness of the night.

This project was really tough though, expensive and time consuming. My light bar isn't perfect either. Its hard to see in the photos, but I had to insert some triangular rubber blocks to get the angle right. My friend who made this for me is hopefully going to mod it a little more so the bar sits at the right angle.

Either way they work really well. I need to get some sort of all-weather connector though so I can remove the light bar AND all of the ugly cables from up top when not in use.

I kinda miss my spikes...

vid is cool too.. how were u keepin up with it on the cam?

yea the lights do kind of take from the stealthy vxness... i used some GM weatherproof connectors for mine.. they are black and have green rubber seals.. had to buy the male end, female end, and male and female metal connectors all separately, then put it all together.. works nicely though... i ended up getting an extra connector for each (i went with 2 2 wire connectors) and plugging it up with some melted plastic to make a cover for the plugs when the lights werent connected to them

you think about using a trailer harness for your connector? there cheap and you can get them anywhere.

Lights like that need a lift kit and nice meaty tires underneath! I bet your temptation has grown... huh? High speed dirt runs like that though need no lift at all... sooooo... Very cool vid as well, I love the whitewall look!

My friends were in their rental taking video from there. I have more, but this segment looks the best. Its hard to hold the camera steady at that speed.

Hmmm, well, I have 5 wires that need to have a weatherproof plug. Would a harness work? I thought they only have 4 connectors??

Yes and no. I mean, I did A LOT of wheeling allover northern Nevada last week. I never really came upon anything that would have required a lift. But that said, there was one spot where I scraped, but it was mostly because of the angle I took it at and the lack of a spotter.

A lift would be sweet, but I am still skeptical about the basket of problems associated with it...only time will tell.

My ABS light is on now too.

I think if you did the drop brackets and brake lines first, instead of the torsion crank I'm sure that you could bypass the problems.
