Pictures of the new project.

And so it begins... here are a few pix of the new pickup project we've started. It's a SWB, '54 Ford. It drove off the trailer! It had a V8, and ancient 3sp. manual hacked it, some time ago. Comes complete with the most primitive steering I've seen, since my "rod and cable" soapbox car. :rolleyes: The cab is solid, the bed less so. Tommy, (our fresh outta Wyotech trainee) spent two days with a heat gun and scraper taking the undercoat off, so it can be shipped to the blaster. Meanwhile, we'll be busy (in our sparetime) disassembling the '87 Corvette donor...reinforcing the Ford frame....rebuilding the engine, rock-crusher tranny, rear, and suspension bits...then fitting it all to that frame. If anyone is interested, I'll show pix, now and then, as the build progresses. NICE Chopper!!! I'm on the lookout for a 67-72 Chevy SWB. I've had several (71-72) in the past but only one swb that was back in the mid to early 80's when you could pickup a soild/Driver 67-72 chevy LWB for under 2k all day long. Those were the days...

No prob....there's a ton of solid old metal, down here. At one time, I had a swb "eyebrow" Chevy. Ran studded snows all year long, just to keep the rear loose....kids are so stupid :p
