Photos from August 2017, of the condition my VX was in when I repossessed it from the mechanic/shop that turned out to be a fraud.

The mechanic goes by the name Anthony Lopez (as well as Giovanni Anthony, Giovanni Savvoy, Gio), and he is a registered user of this forum with the user name of "VXDoc". He worked as the manager at a Denver, CO shop called Elevation Performance, which had good online user reviews and a good rating through the BBB. VXDoc/Anthony came recommended to me by other users of this forum, who apparently had had (positive) experience with him.

Anthony took over $8,600 of my own personal money (NOT insurance money) to fix some front end damage to my VX from an accident, as well as to do a bunch of additional modifcations to it (full body repaint, new tires, roof rack, back up camera, flood lights, etc). He started to do some of the work on it... but then ended up skipping town with my money (as well as many other customers\' money from his shop). But first he stripped my car of important parts, damaged other parts, and trashed the interior.

Elevation Performace, the shop he managed, suddenly and unexpectedly closed (which is how many customers learned that their cars had NOT been repaired, and were in fact torn apart and missing pieces). The shop\'s insurance company claims that Elevation Performance\'s policy will not cover the damage to my vehicle (which has been estimated at upwards of $13,000 by another shop) or my missing money.

At this time, Anthony is on the run and wanted by the police, who are still investigating and gathering evidence of his crimes along with the Denver District Attorney\'s Office.
