VX part - where does it go? Rear seat area?

This is a part from my VX that was leftover after Dynamatting. I never did figure out where it went. Does anyone recognize it? I suspect it goes somewhere in the rear, perhaps under the rear seat somewhere, but I'm not sure. I think it was originally covered by carpet.
