The mounting brackets can slide the length of the rail making for infinate number of mounting positions.
Also the mounting brackets can be positioned on the inside of the rail, as shown here, or the outside of the rail.
The same goes for the cargo loops which can be positioned on either the inside or outside of the rail, slide the entire length of the rail and lock into any position.
