Hey I have the same setup! Doesn't that vibrate the living crap out of the roof and back door? I ended up flipping it so the speakers are facing up. This made a huge improvement on the sound!
2001 Ironman Daily Driver... 3.5" suspension lift (OME912 springs and 1" spring spacer), ball joint flip, 1.5" front diff. drop, 33"x12.5 TrXus MT, 16x10 Eagle Alloy rims, Interceptor, PV muffler, K&N air filter, Alpine Supercharger, Bilstein shocks, and some trimming.
2000 Ironman Project LS-1 VX... very slow progress but someday....... ohhhhh someday......
(y) glad to be of help! The speaker shop that installed them told me it would not sound right straight up. And that it would sound better bouncing off the back door. But this is not true in the case with the VX. Drove me nuts when they were facing back!

No disrespect but that big old stock sub box seems outta place with you nice custom interior. A nice molded fiberglass box would look perfect and you could paint it like the dash. I do realy like the shifters you got though.
