well iirc they were gonna import those to the US at one time and they were called Daewoo Korando's, never saw them though. I'll have to dig up my old issues of Four Wheeler and see if i can find the article.
EDIT: Apparently Daewoo bought a controlling stake of Ssangyong in 97 and then sold it off again in 2000, probably why the states ended up never seeing them.
