The ride isn't too bad. I went with ultra-low profile tires because I saw a couple of pics of lowered VXs. I thought there was a lowering kit out there, but I guess not. I experimented with suspension clamps, but only got about 1 inch--not worth the time.
i think it looks good. I'm going to put 22's on mine next month. What size is your tires. I was going to go with the 295/35/22's. I see you have a few inches of wheel well left. Are there any problems yet??
My tires are 285/30/22s. I think that 295/35/22 series may not work-- With my wheels turned fully lock-to-lock, because the wheels are so wide (11inch footprint) I only have about an eighth of an inch before I start hitting the front bumper (even though the overall diameter is only 28 inches versus the stock 30 inch diameter). With 295/35/22s, you will definitely need to trim the front bumper. Also, my tires stick out just a little over the wheel well. If you go any wider, you could get pulled over by Mr. Johny Law. If I could do it all over again, I would go with 265 series tires. That way you can go with some thicker tires and really fill out the wheel well. I plan on posting some more pics soon.
