Wrench My idea of how home furnishings should look...

Been rollin' this design around in the ol' dooder's noggin for a while now...

It started it's life as a shoe rack, that was supposed to live quietly under the hanging clothes in my closet.

    Well, that just wouldn't do...
I pressed it into service as a coffee table a few yrs back, by having a piece of glass cut for the top. But alas, it just didn't have that certain something, that would tie the whole room together.

The parts that are now machined T-6 aluminium bar stock, were originally made of some flimsy wood rectangles, that eventually started gett'n all waggly & stuff. Decidedly NOT the kind of furnishing that could survive in dubworld...

Of course I had to incorporate my favorite fasteners...socket head cap screws...

So, here's what I came up with...

    That right Daniel San...

Been dabbling for decades...don't have the time or patience for coniferous specimens, but do like to mess with tropicals, succulents, & cacti.

And if you look even closer, you'll see a first class monkey butler, that once lived in the "courtyard" of the Red Rock Lodge in Moab...

    YOINK!...

Had a Bonsai'd tamarack forest for many years, lots-o-work but it was really a labor of love. My wife, at the time, got me into it, we were both members of the Minnesota Bonsai Society back in another life...often thought about getting back into it, but I digress grasshopper...

    Thanks Billy...

That has crossed my mind in the past, just don't have a clue as to how to go about it...

I suppose I could put up some pics on Etsy

That would at least show if there was any demand.

Also, I could market C-F Rat Casket stash boxes...

    Or C-F knife blocks...

    LVE forest plantings...

I had a sweet forest of Malabar Chestnut (money tree) when I lived Hawaii.

If you squinted your eyes just right, it looked kinda like a grove of coconut palms.

No doubt we all see a lot of others peoples artistic/crafty/whatever handiwork that someone says they should definately market and sell. My reaction is almost always "meh", thats a lot of work for sometehing that won't turn much profit. But those items? They would totally sell. They are like mancave mana. Really would consider throwing a test case for each of your creations onto Etsy, just to test the waters.

Well, if I ever DO decide to reveal the whore like nature of my existence, by selling people my goods/services for money, (oh wait, we ALL do that already...)

I hope you don't mind, but...

I think "Man Cave Mana" (McM) would be a good name for the endeavor...

Not so sure about that swanky throw rug. It might go with my "white" shifter boots quite well though.

I DID sell one custom casket to a member here, (Bart) who gave it to his wife for Valentines Day. It was for one of her large scale dolls that she collects.

I dunno how that skellington got in there...

You are a master craftsman, Sir Dub. The casket is in plain view daily.

    Love the table too.

PS - Got my MIG welder FINALLY last week. I shall do metal sculpture again soon.

I rekin the old adage is true ... if you do it for a living, you won't do it for a hobby. Cabinet-er Dub hasta have a coffee table made outta metal.

The question gotsa be axed - how much of the materials in that table had a previous life in/on Suzi?
