Brake booster noise

Wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this before I tear into it. Just started yesterday - when you press the brake pedal there is a noise like air rushing out of the end of a baloon you have stretched tight, or like you might hear in a semi with air brakes (not nearly as much or loud, obviously). I figure it's probably a vacuum leak or something has come loose - the brakes work fine. Might mention my ABS light has been on for quite some time (took the bulb out! I hate ABS anyway!), but this issue just started yesterday.

Anyone have some ideas where to start?

Mine sounded like that but the brake went out completely a day later. Take it to Brake Check and they can verify for sure. If it is indeed the booster, you can get a refurbished one from Autozone.
