Gas door Popper?

Has anyone come up with one of these yet? Was thinking about it and how nice it would be. If it doesnt exist yet, I might play around with the idea, just wanted to check first.

If you figure it out let me know - it's something I've been thinking about as well and coudln't come up with as the existing door is so specific in the way it latches and locks.
