I saw a roadtest of it in Top Gear from the BBC.
Man what a poor quality of assembly.
And what about the fuel consumption of it? You can see the tank gage moving to empty whilst accellerating.
Sorry, but this doesn't work for me.

dutch guy...you saw a road test of the SVT adrenaline or the garbage normal one. The SVT isn't going to be out until 2007...i heard they had a test mule but i wouldn't think ford would let a TV show mess around with it. and as far as gas, with prices dropping like they are i'll probably only be paying 93 cents a gallon, not that my VX gets any better milage. anyway, it just caught my eye

the road test I saw, was with a supercharged engine.
None of the interior panels seemed to fit, and the steering had an unbelievable amount of play.

Ford, in general, has an "unusual" way of looking at things. In my opinion, their engineering for the masses is about 6-8 yrs. behind the times. While on the other side of the coin, they can produce such marvels as the GT & Shelby.
A look inside the corporate mindset was forthcoming, in a CNN report this morning about Ford trying to figure out it's staggering losses of the most recent quarter, they proposed "tracking how much time workers were spending in the bathroom"...sounds like a reasonable theory as to why their product isn't selling.
Just my $.02, Ldub

well, as crappy as ford is they are one of the biggest car companies in teh world. they own jag, landrover, mazda and aston.

funny how top gear hates american cars yet they love the ford made vantage v8 and db9.

MZ-N10, that's like saying the Elise is "made" (engineered / constructed) by the crappy Malaysian car company Proton because they own Lotus. I think you know better.

well look at the mazda6 for instance (since my gf has one). the chassis and engine is identical to those of the ford fusion. but the m6 has been rated as one of the best sedans, up there with the accord, camry and etc.

or we can look at teh focus. yea OUR focus is crap, but the euro version is a killer.

we cant really say ford is a crap company cause some of their cars are crap. im sure ever car company has made a few mistakes.

Sorry, but this doesn't work for me.

Top Gear did a road test of the SVT Lightning. That and the Escalade are the only two American Trucks/SUVs I've seen on Top Gear.
