Oh what fun!
Actually it was quite painless, bolts came off quite easily.
However, I did curse a bit at that top bolt on the rear, lots of wiggling to position it right to pull it out all the way to get the shock off. (Developed a new curse "Shock Off!, Shock off!").

I can't play with the settings yet, as I only have 3 of the 4 installed. The last rear Rancho I was about to put on was defective - the rod pulled right out of the tube when I was putting the boot on. sucks.

Here's a few snaps if anyone's curious about them.

I thought the Rancho front bushings were a bit pitiful compared to the stock bushings, so I re-used the stock - Comments? Bad Idea? ...

I installed my Ranchos last weekend. You're right about the top of the rears being a pain. It took me longer to find a breaker bar and wrench slim enough to fit in the limited space than it did to actually install the rear shocks! Plus I had one of the front shocks' lower bushing siezed onto the bolt. That was real pain in the ***** to break loose. I hate when when you need tools or parts and your only mode of transportation is down and it's 8:30 pm.
I used the new bushings up front. I really don't think it matters. I had them, so I just used them.

Rancho bushings are better - polyurethane over rubber any day.
