Set my app Monday the 21st at http://www.topspeedsales.com/ they have a Dyno jet, with Wideband Tuning... so lets see if we can benefit from some more fuel... Excited. An other ATL Vxers wanna come let me know... I wish I had a stock run to compare against. My buddy just had his Evo Dyno and ECU re flashed up there this weekend.

Are you going to reflash your ecu... and if so do you have a way of saving factory/default settings?

No clue if that can even be done on our VX's? If they can yep I'll do it... the endless quest for more power... I am just hoping we can squeeze a little more out of with some fuel or something... They are a pretty good shop an are excited to get a SC VX in there, so fingers crossed.

Is it a 4 wheel dyno? If not, be sure to remove front driveshaft - TOD off button is NOT sufficient. Too bad you don't have a baseline to compare to.

Yes it is a 4 wheel dyno.

What did they quote you? I'm thinking about trying to schedule on the same day around your time.

it is 55 buck for 3 runs, with or with out Wideband. Do it John would be a fun time.

That's an awesome price. Let us know if they can tune the air/ fuel ratio. I've been thinking about a unichip, but I was quoted at $2,000 for it. Too much.

Very cool time... great seeing you again John. We just had our VX's Dyno'd on a Dynojet 4 wheel Dyno...

johnnyapollo has a 01 Proton with:
- Powervault generation 1 catback exhaust
- HotShots Air Intake
- Trans Interceptor Shift Kit
Not sure if they plays at all into it, He is running stock 18x7in rims w/ 255/55/18 Scorpions
His best of 3 runs was: 153.04 Max Total Power & 174.13 Max Total Torque

I (Cyrk) have 99 Ebony with:
- Alpine racing developments supercharger
- 5psi pulley
- Modified HotShots Air Intake to fit SC
- Powervault generation 1 catback exhaust
- Denso Iridium IK20 (one step cooler) spark plugs
- Trans Interceptor Shift Kit
I have Aftermarket 18x8in rims w/ 255/55/18 Toyos
Best out my 3 runs was: 216.21 Max Total Power & 227.65 Max Total Torque

Looks like A SC VX in our case made 63.17 more HP and 53.52 more TQ over a slightly modified one, too bad we did not have stock one there also... bet it would be close to 75HP more than stock.

Interesting on my 3 run I have a TOD disconnect switch and we ran with that on, well it looks like the front drive shaft is still connected, it ran the slowest of my runs at 193.61 HP and 204.38 TQ.

The Air/Fuel on my SC VX was running a little lean as John's was just a bit rich... I am going to look into a adjustable fuel press regulator and try to drop into the rich area and squeeze a bit more HP out of her. Also I want to get Tone's intake with the green filter for our SC... and dyno again with that mod.

Here is the Dyno graph with mine and John's run overlaping... and some other pics. I got some video of the runs but they are too large to post.

That graph is weird. How can there be LOOPS in the chart? I'm talking about the 4.25Krpm points on John's lines.

Does the lean mix explain the crossovers around 5.25Krpm where the SC starts to lag the normally aspirated engine? Or is that perhaps because the engine management system don't "understand" the SC?

I had a great time today - wanted to get a dyno before the SC finally goes in (I think I'm gonna use the same guys to do the install). It was fun hanging with cyrk and checking out the setup (wish I had brought my camera though).

I'm not sure what the loops are all about - I suspect it has something to do with torque converter lockup.

Was surfing around and found this on the Dyno Scan on a FX35 AWD:
http://www.infinitifx.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3801

He dyno'd 205.44 HP and 198.28... on a DynoJet.

That thing puts down 280 hp and 270 torque to the crank... Nice I wanna track one down and race it. ;)

I am making an app to go back an install a rising rate fuel pressure regulator... and dyno again to see if I can rich it out a bit and gain a few more HP. I wish there were a chip or re-flash that I could do to free more up... Not sure what else there is to do performance mod wise... Tone any new word on the CF intake and Huge Green Filter?

Did you get around to installing the new fuel pressure regulator?

Tone

Lean will get more HP than rich... CF tube guy just cannot follow through with sending me a sample - I call him every few weeks and he promises to. I do have another sample coming from overseas that may be more reliable and cheaper.

Not yet... been meaning to get back over there to get it installed... will keep ya posted. And Tone keep me posted on the intake and filters...
