I just received a pair of LED 194 style lights that work great! Very nice construction and very bright 4-LED cluster. Here's a link to the guy I got 'em from on eBay:

He has quite a variety and shipped pretty quick. If you find something you like, be sure to look through all his auctions. I found the lights I wanted and they were over $12 with bids, but in looking further down his list I found the same lights with a Buy-it-now of about $7. So it pays to look. Anyway, just got 'em installed and they are about twice as bright as the original horn lights. I chose green since I've got the Dragon! I'm sure brightness is somewhat relative to color as well, and he did have some larger clusters in other colors. Here's some pics...

What's that other stuff blacking out around your headlight and all?

Umm... that's part of the stock assembly.

Yep, just the OEM headlight assembly. Probably looks a little funky 'cause of the flash at night.

Will the clusters fit? What size should I look for?

Sorry, just wanted to share my experience a while back with some LED horns...

Even with a 6 LED bulb they were brighter than the already not stock bulbs I had in, but still not as bright as I hoped they would be.

Yeah, I went out and looked at mine this morning and did a homer-doh! But the camera flash definitely makes it stand out a lot more than on my VX.

What did you end up doing with your 6 cluster LEDs?

I stuck them in and said, "what the f*%k!". They ARE brighter than stock, and brighter than the "blue" bulbs, and thats what I was hoping for. They look good, but they are directional and don't fill the horn as much as I hoped they would.

All in all, the LEDs have some great advantages: Cooler, less power consumed, long life, brighter, range of colors.

Hopefully I can swap all the lighting from incandescent to LED in the entire VX. They even have an LED for the dome light! Then I'll have to squeeze the wallet for the HID conversion on the headlights and the running lights. Ouch!

How sweet would it be to have the rear lights as an LED board setup... alla the Cadillac Seville?

I've actually thought about doing a board setup for the VX. When I have time and can lay my hands on an extra reflector assembly I'll start working on it, unless someone wants to donate a reflector assembly...

Are the horn lights tough to replace. Could anyone give me a how to for the horn light instalation. And what are the exact size/type of bulb.

Easier than replacing a light bulb in your house. Type 194 wedge bulb. Turn the socket and remove from headlight assembly. Pull off the factory bulb, insert new bulb. Stick the socket back in and turn to secure.

Don't waste your money on LEDs for the horns. Been there done that. The LEDs are just not bright enough and despite claims of longivity, one of mine went out after a month so now I'm back to the factory yellow bulbs and it looks great.

Still running my original set of LED 194s without any problems and they're super-bright. I made a point to get the 4 LED type rather than the single and I believe that made the difference.

They were the 4 LED type. Still weren't bright enough. Lighting is too directional.

LED's come in different viewing angles. More than likely the ones who have experienced poor illumination have LED's with narrow angles. Unfortunately I haven't seen anyone with the 194 packages listing viewing angle specs. I guess I got lucky with a wide-angle package.
