Anita,
Did you actually see this happen and get pictures?

Crane Operator - "Uhhhh, I was lifting it out. And all of the sudden, uhhh, I realized I forgot to put the stabilizer jacks down"

naaa.. it was sent to me in an email.. there is actually more to it but the last photo that I wanted to post wont show up right. It's in my gallery-three pictures in one. Seems that a larger crane was called for and it fell as well (unless you believe in photoshopping ;Dr; ).

Well, I believe that 1st crane went over! You can even see the gas tank rupture from the railing it cruched! I'd like to see that other crane going over though!

:D

After seeing the first pictures I thought too bad, at least it wasn't a VX, and I hope no one was hurt, but after scrolling down I had to LOL:D Best evidence for that saying that we only use 10% of our brain.;)

Holy CRAP! Definitely didn't expect the later pictures in the series... WHOOOOPS! BTW, what IS with the gallery anyway... I see a LOT of pictures that are gray or washed out. I have uploaded some pictures of my own that are fine on my computer but when uploaded, they are messed up. Anyone know? Later!

Coach... I mean Randy (I often forget who I really am) ;)

The last shot of the second crane is photoshopped, in reality it successfully recovered the first crane. Got some guys on my Antique Caterpillar site talking about this. Pretty easy to tell once you start looking at it though!

yea, if it was true the crane took people and cars with it, as well. ;Dr;

What's that black SUV in the background of the first picture? Looks like a 2door G-Wagon, but I didn't think they made them in 2-door, and it has a window at the top like a Land Rover Discovery. Anybody know??

That is indeed the Defender 90, one of the few English vehicles I like. They were available in the US for about 3 years and Land Rover stopped importing them because they refused to put airbags in, as redline mentions. There's a few outfits where you can get them as ex-military in both petrol and diesel versions, including the long wheelbase Defender 110. Delivered to the US ready to off-road like mad for anywhere between $6 - $10 at a port near you. ;Do;

Do an AutoTrader.com search and get sticker shock at the premium they still hold almost 10 years later. Wish I had bought the one I test drove now!
