...bottom ones definately. They'll probly look bigger and the top are actually more difficult to clean and keep clean, speaking from experience. ;Db; Good luck....x

really? i would have thought the bottom wheel would be harder to clean since it's got a jillion right angles/corners all the way around the rim and inside corners have always given me the most trouble as far as collecting dirt and then cleaning it out when it comes time to shine things up.

in that case - based on actual experience and not just theory - i'll change my vote! note - i'm still going with the one that's easiest to clean though. from a looks standpoint they both look good to me - shiny and round.

actually the stock wheels look best to me because they're shiny and round - and already paid for!

Guys with 275/45 /20 what would the overall height of the tire be ? And anyone knows what the overall tire height is on a 16 inch stock wheel/tire ?

Thx

James

Bottom for sure. Very unique and strong. The top looks like just about every other aftermarket wheel in existence.

Wow, both are real nice. Check out mine in my gallery...I think either would look real good , it seems most people would like you to get the 2nd ones....

Ok guys

My VX family has chosen, I have gone with the second one. Its a MB Motoring express. 1693 with Falken z tires 20 x 9.
Now who wants to buy my 16 inch wheels with tires (33000k) ?

Make an offer

I'm really ogling a certain set of wheels now myself. Assuming no one really knocks my socks off and gets them for me over the holidays or something (which I seriously doubt), I'm getting them in January. And I never really gave a rip. I mean, a lot of you have really nice rims, but I was happy with stock. But then that one set came along that just bit me and wouldn't let go.

James, sorry I missed this post before. The bottom ones look like they might not fit the VX hub. Believe me, I've gone through hell and back figuring out what type of wheels will fit. You either need covered lugs (like the first one) or a large hub center cap, like offroading wheels. I can't really tell from the angle of the image, but the second ones look like the cap may be too small. Did you confirm with the vendor that they would fit?

Yeah, like transio said - I don't think either of those will fit over the hubs. If you order them from some place like NTB they'll test fit them for you before you commit. Sometimes they'll make you drop a deposit though.

Personally I think they both look bad@$$. I think they'd both be really hard to keep shiny though. The top ones you could probably get an overall clean faster, but you'll never keep the area around those small bolts clean. The bottom ones would be a pain to clean every time, but they would at least be possible to keep perfectly clean if you're persistant. For those of us that do clean our rims, this is an important consideration. ;Db;

Well, I have to break from the crowd - going just on looks, I like the top ones more.

I got the wheels from Discount tire direct.com.
I spoke to their salesman who as well as the ws claims are one of the few wheels that fit.
If they dont they will exchange them at their cost as i went with their advice
fingers crossed

I really prefer black wheels 'cause, they just look neato on my Ebony VX!! But, if someone was holding a gun to my head and I had to choose....

I'd choose the bottom one!!

Guys and girls I just put the wheels on my truck and they look nice.
Transio, the wheels fit without any qualms. The hub fit quite well.
I got all season Falken tires on them. No rubbing, nothing.
I will post pictures later today

Both are good choice's but I would go with the bottom, looks beefier a great addition to the vcross

I personally like the spokes and lip design of the top ones and the centercap/lug design of the bottom ones.

PS - MB Motoring is a cheaper wheel manufacturer. You might want to check on their quality before committing to a purchase.
