i really like the look of the fangs on the top of the hood. it makes it much more interesting on that bland surface. i am going to try and make some this weekend, but i would like some suggestions. has anyone done this and willing to tell me the secret?

my plan is to sculpted them out of hardwood and, to the best of my ability, get the two similar i shape, then paint them.

Check out this site:

Vehicross Concepts (http://vehicrossconcepts.homestead.com/products.html)

I'm not sure that the hood fangs are available, but I'm pretty sure they were at one time.

I think I saw a post by Ron (VX Concepts) a while back that he was soon to go into production of 2 different types of fang x-tenders.
But, if you are still going to make your own, how about "sculpting" them out of styrofoam (surfboard blank?) ,then you could glass & paint etc. Just a thought, avoiding that pesky rot problem wood has when exposed to the elements, car washes, etc.
Good luck w/ whatever method you choose & please post pics.

Bantan -

Did you do something to your grill fangs? They look really shiny.

yah, i think i may try sculting them out of dense foam, them glassing them with left over fiberglass and epoxy from when i built a kayak. my other plan was to sculpt from the wood, then do a saturation coat of epoxy in order to weather proof them, then paint. i will definitely post pics IF it works out. i will begin tomorow, wish me luck!;Db;

Those look really awesome chromed! I like the biohazard logo too - or maybe a chromed VX logo from autox-racer.

wow, im am relly impressed with how it has turned out this far. i have made one, and have decided to make a mold of this one so that the second will be perfectly matched.this means it will be made out of plastic, rubber, or fiberglass. i havent decided which to use, and probably try all. since i will have the mold, i would be willing to make some extras for anyone who is interested. i would a set of them for about $20. let me know if anyones interested!
thanks
