Anyone have any of these laying around? I snapped one off while putting my rear door cover back on. I've tried ordering from St. Charles Iuzu 3 times now and Isuzu keeps sending me the grey colored screws (something supposedly wrong with the part numbers and how the supplier packaged them). I'm going to keep trying through them, but thought someone might have 1 extra laying aroung that they would be willing to sell!!!

You don't happen to have the part number that was shipped to you? It would be worth while to post in-case anyone else has these issues. Merlin @ St. Charles was trying to explain how the part numbers for the two different colors are wrong, and got switched on the packaging. Someting like this anyway. I guess it's a real mess, but you may be able to help.

Jungalbutt, did you get my e-mail? I'll try to PM you.

I wouldn't mind getting extra spare tire cover for my rear door.
Maybe you have part number for that, Tone?
Or is it unreachable?
Anyone?

My problem are the receptacles for the Knob ( black)- Have broken all 4. Ordered 4 new ones from Isuzu got 1 which was wrong part & sent to wrong address.

A half inch wooden dowel fits in side the knob just cut to length and glue in. This keeps it from braking and can fix a broken one

The RED ones I have in my possession have the p/n 8-97198-691-0 on the bags they are in- the same as what Merlin told me when I ordered them.

Not sure what gives - the guide lists the other part number for red??? Probably why everyone is having a hard time getting the correct part!

If anyone has an extra 1 or 2 of the red knobs I would be happy buy them. I just snapped one of mine last week. Must be an epidemic.

If you have the pieces to the broken "screws", you can fix them VERY CHEAPLY and have them NEVER break again!

I just broke two of mine last week too. To fix them, I went to Home Depot and bought 4 (I fixed the unbroken ones too) metal, tubular "Spacers" to reinforce the inner bore of the plastic screws. You'll find them in the specialty parts area of the hardware section. The spacers are about 2" long and the outer diameter is a PERFECT fit to the inner diameter of the screws! So, if you slide the spacer into the broken (handle) part of the screw, and slide the smaller broken piece over the rest of the spacer (superglue the spacer into the bore), you'll have a perfectly fixed and reinforced screw that'll never break again. And, yes... the metal retainer clip will still work!

I think I spent less than $1 on each spacer, plus $1 for the Superglue.

Hope this helps!
