I have Nitto NT 404's and this is what their website says:

*255/55 R18 109V 11.5 28.94 10.33 7.0-(8.0)-9.0 2271@50 718

The VX says tire pressure of 29, so I ask: What is a good pressure or is it more of a subjective thing?

Max pressure listed on the tire will give you the best mileage and handling. too low for comfort and it can overheat and fail at highway speeds. Pressure listed on the VX is ONLY for stock size/brand tires and is most definetly a comfort number. Start with max listed on the tire and then decrease a few pounds if too rigid for you but I would NOT go more than 10lbs below that number on the tire unless you are crawling offroad.

I run 46 lbs in my v-rated Pirelli Scorpions (the max is 50). I've found that to be a good number.

Do you vary the pressure for the season? (One pressure for summer and another for winter?)

On the stock Bridgestone 18" duelers...I ran 40# (44# was max)
and after 39k miles....they wore almost perfect on all 4. The middle of the tread was barely more worn then either side..so this tells me the middle was ever so slightly bulged or over-inflated. I am guessing 39# might have been the perfect pressure on that tire?

Would anyone happen to know the ideal (best MPG )pressure for Goodyear Eagle GT P275/45/R20 V rated tires? These came with my VX, and since they aftermarket the sticker on body isint accurate :D
