Funny - looks like the builder used the electric mower motor for lift (probably had to install a turbo-prop blade) and a white fuel motor/prop in the front for propulsion. I think the mower's handles are aerodynamic to work as a stabilizer. Cool idea, but someone def had too much time on their hands. I'd be interesting to work out the servos to control that beast using R/C.

With enough power up front, you can make anything fly!

The elevator/aileron's surface is the area behind the rear wheels. You can see the pushrods from the servos mounted in the center (fake motor box)

So, how many other VXer's out there are into flying R/C? I have been flying for about 2 years now, it is a very addictive hobby. Kind of funny that many of us have similar interests. What kind of stuff do you guys fly?

That's one of the neatest things about the VX family to me, the other common interests. It's just one of the many things that make the meets such a blast! ;Do;

As for R/C, been into it for close to 30 years. I was most active at the end of high school when I got into flying R/C sailplanes competitively in the state for a few years. Did helis for a bit with a Shluter .60 and have piddled with a variety of power aircraft mostly in the .15 - .25 size. Just got back into some last year with a new Futaba to replace the old Gold Series unit and have been eyeing the new Li-Po electrics. Still flying the 20+ year old sailplanes in the meantime, and have a few old boxed kits waiting for assembly. ;pg;

My 2 interests are WW1 1/4 scale aeroplanes & sub 1 oz electrics that we fly in a gym.
