Not sure the best forum to post this....and excuse if this is a repeat of other similar info...but I did a bunch of searches...didn't see anything right away.

Mancini's in US has reman 3.5 engines which have pretty much EVERYTHING new in the engine (not sure about crank but just about everything else). It is referred to as the "6VE1 engine" ...I just called....it's $3500 plus $250 deposit for the old engine.

I've dealt with Mancini's before...excellent outfit in Pennsylvania.
(number is 215-727-4329).

As of this post they have 4 ready but they are sold....it would take 3 to 4 working days to get you the motor. So they are not that rare.

While the price is rather high....the guarantee is good....comes with 3 year 72, 000 mile.

If they had a DI engine, that'd be interesting.

Also another "beauty" of this vehicle is it comes up as a "wagon" on NJ registration.....yielding a low $36 registration fee.

My Thunderbird supercoupe, which weighs about the same....is $61.50.

In NC, it came up as SUV on my tax bill, which as you could imagine, was quite high.
