Does anyone have a tip for getting wax off the cladding? I got small amounts of Mothers wax on the cladding while buffing the paint. When I was done waxing, I applied "Shine" to the cladding. The cladding looked so good I practically cried. (I ran in to get my wife at the half way point just so she could see the difference) Anyway after a few rainy days the shine has faded and revealed white wax residue. Shine masked it completely but now it looks like I'm a sloppy detailer. Any suggestions? (next time I won't get wax on the cladding) Thanks

There's a reason they tell people to never wash their car with dishwashing soap, and it is because those soaps will strip away whatever wax you had on there. So I'd get a bottle of Dawn, Joy, Palmolive, or whatever other dishwashing liquid, mix a little of it into a bucket with some water, and try washing the cladding to see if that takes it off. But now you'll want to be careful to keep the soapy water off the paint/wax. :-)

I've used Simple Green. Spray it on a rag and wipe the residue.
