Oil Analysis !!

sent the oil out to be checked. recieved the report today everything is normal. no abnormal wear and no excesive contaminants. shawn

you can send a sample to be tested. they check for wear metals (bearing , piston , cylinder,and valve material). they also check for contaminants. these reports can be used to find problems in the engine before you have a major meltdown. shawn

i get it done for free at work. do a search on the web for oil analysis and you will find many places. it is normally around $20 . mine is done by kendall. when i can get it scanned i will post it. shawn

I once had this done on my Fiero using a kit from K-Mart that cost about $8. That was a couple of years ago...so I don't know if the kit is still available or not.
