Just a few pics of some Angel Eyes I installed a couple months ago. The blue led ring turns on with the parking lights and the central fog lights are controlled independently by a switch on the dash.

They are sold for about $30 at your local auto accessory store(AutoZone, Strauss, Pep Boys), but I have yet to find em in white. They even got a little "Try Me" button. Hey Ron, was the install intense? Please describe. I've seen like 3 diferent sizes, which model # did you use?

I would like to find some that match the color of our "horn" lights in the headlights!

Correct me if I'm wrong....but since our parking lights say "Nissan"
on them, wouldn't you just buy the Angel Lights for a Nissan model in the appropriate size???

What color are your brake lights in Florida?

I've heard that blue and sometimes green are illegal in many states, Virginia included, but never red.

I purchased the lights off of e-bay for around $45. Here's an e-bay link for the same model but in the color red.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7916197322&category=33709

They're about 3" in diameter and basically had to remove the front cladding to install. Referring to Scott's detailed hella foglights step-by-step installation procedure, I installed the lights with some modification to the cladding stock holes. Basically had to enlarge the slot cut-outs a bit to accommodate the new lights. Yet, still able to re-install the stock lights with a problem. Spliced into the stock fog light wiring to power the LED ring and ran a separate source for the central fog light. I also took apart the included switch and had to modify the small motherboard to cram all the electronics in one of the stock rectangular switches on the dash. I also made an LED indicator on the switch using an 1/8th inch acrylic dowel and polished the ends and aimed it towards the motherboard LED. This will allow me to see whether the switch is activated or not at night. Took me approximately four nights to complete the job since I had to make several trips to a nearby HomeDepot.

Regarding the legal issues, they do offer them in color white along with blue, red and green. I chose the blue to match up with the ones on my horn lights. You can also turn on the central fog light independently which will drown out the color if you're concerned about the legalities. I've had them on at night for a few months now, and with the headlights within close proximity, the blue rings are not that noticeable at first glance. Only when you get close or have the head lights off do you really notice them at night.

The pics don't do the lights justice as it illuminates a brilliant blue vs. the white and blue effect that shown on the pics. Don't know why the camera shows it this way.

As for the grill kit shown, it will be offered along with the matching grill inserts for the skidplate soon.

I was looking at the Hella Optilux 2500 about 6 months ago:

I decided not to do it, but they can be had for around $50 online. I definitely trust Hella!

Tad, red is also a problem in Florida if it's not brake lights. I had red neons underneath my Dodge Avenger ES and they actually made me sign a waiver before they installed them. Drove around for a long time with no problems from the cops here in Jacksonville, but the first time I went through little ol' Starke, I got pulled over (guess they have nothing better to do there). It is actually in the Florida statutes. I think it is totally ridiculous because they do not flash and in no way make you resemble an emergency response vehicle.

Since I read this thread, I have been looking for whites. STill no luck. Just about every color, including white, is illegal here in MD, depending on where you it is. I was pulled over a couple months ago because a cop thought my tail lights were PINK. I have the ClearCorners tinted LED tail lights, and he insisted that what he was seeing was pink. I dont know where he gets that from, but they are FAR from pink, hahaha. Heck, with the tinted lense, they are a super deep red if you ask me. Anyways, he called it quits since I was actually putting up a fight and told him my brother in-law was a MD state inspector, and I would call him up and have him meet us where we stood, heh. Of course, seeing I was being a smart-arse and pushing my case to the fullest, he gave up.

But ya, I havent had any problems with my Clears yet (RON!!!! I want some clear side markers bro!!! Hook a pykie up would ya?!?!?! ;) ) so I am keeping my fingers crossed there.

I have to go for my emmissions testing by Sept 15th, and they are now being very anal about lights and tints now, so I am gonna be on my guard.

Cheapest I could find... Hella Optilux 2500 (http://www.rallylights.com/Optilux/optilux_2500.asp) for $50.40, and the Optilux 2550 (http://www.rallylights.com/Optilux/optilux_2500.asp) for $51.62.

Both at RallyLights.com. I have purchased many buls from them and have always had a good experience.
